Sharktopus (2010)
(Sci-Fi,Horror) A thriller about a Navy-engineered half-shark-half-octopus killing machine.Eric Roberts creates a genetically mutated great white shark/octopus hybrid for the government. When the “Sharktopus” breaks it’s homing beacon, it heads down to Puerto Vallarta to get a hot meal. Roberts then convinces his former associate to come out of retirement to capture the Sharktopus.SHARKTOPUS has been without a doubt a highly anticipated film. I first wrote about it back on May 14, 2010 and the buzz on the internet was huge. The bottom line is, “Does this film deliver?” Overall I must say that it does indeed deliver. Sure it lacks a coherent plot and explanation; sure some of the acting is questionable; sure its full of less than stellar CG effects … but come on people; its got a big fucking sharktopus that can walk on land!! And at the end of the day isn’t that what we’re all really looking for?Eric Roberts creates a genetically mutated great white shark/octopus hybrid for the government.
