Drama:

Starring Bob Hoskins as Jack, a man in his mid-60s who spirals into loneliness and depression when his wife dies and his strained relationship with his son is finally severed. Things start to look up when eight-year-old Florrie (Jessica Stewart), who delights in Jack’s long-neglected racing pigeon Ruby, moves in next door. Then his glamorous French neighbour Stephanie (Josiane Balasko) takes pity on him, and Jack cannot help but fall for her charms. But when his innocent friendship with Florrie is thrown into question and Stephanie reveals a well-kept secret, Jack’s life is thrown into turmoil once again.
